Appropriate packaging for cargo
We request our valued customers to please ensure that all cargo that is presented for carriage is appropriately packaged for uplift.
- Dangerous Goods must be packed in accordance with the Dangerous Goods Regulations and will have a Dangerous Goods check on acceptance. If the consignment fails to meet the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations criteria the consignment will be rejected with relevant applicable fees
- Perishable Cargo must be packed and presented with additional packaging for the relevant product including additional marking stating goods are a perishable product requiring additional handling
- Glassware, wine, or fragile cargo must be packed with reinforced cardboard to ensure the items have sufficient packaging for handling and clearly marked Fragile
Solomon Airlines will not be held liable for spoilage, loss or damage to cargo left within its care due to inadequate packaging.
Any cargo presented for carriage that does not meet these requirements may be rejected and any claim for damaged goods with inadequate packaging will be rejected in accordance with the above details.
