Solomon Airlines partners with Booking.com

Posted on June 29, 2015 at 10:33 AM in General News

Honiara, Solomon Islands - Solomon Airlines and Booking.com have entered into a commercial agreement enabling the airline’s passengers the opportunity to directly book their Solomon Islands accommodation at the same time as booking their flights via the www.flysolomons.com website.

Under the arrangement the airline’s passengers can now book accommodation at a total of 14 properties currently on the Booking.com books, more than any other online supplier, with more hotels and resorts expected to come on line in short time.

The current choice includes eight properties in Honiara, four in Gizo, one in Munda and one in Buala.

Announcing the news, Solomon Airlines general manager operations and commercial, Gus Kraus said the Booking.com agreement was a further example of where the national carrier was employing the latest in online technology to further enhance overall client service delivery.

“Under the Booking.com arrangement, our passengers can now benefit from having easy access to a good selection of hotels, boutique resorts and eco lodges – even self-catering apartments – the moment they log onto to the www.flysolomons.com  website,” he said.

“The opportunity to partner with Bookings.com has taken our ability to provide passenger service and delivery to a whole new level.”
