Posted on April 19, 2022 at 02:30 PM in Schedule Updates

Solomon Airlines today confirmed an additional passenger service between Tarawa and Brisbane onboard the airline’s A320-200 aircraft this week is now available for sale.

Subject to Government approvals, Flight IE678 will operate as a cargo-only flight from Brisbane to Tarawa on Saturday 23 April, departing 10.00am, arriving 5.00pm.

Flight IE681 will then depart on Sunday 24 April, leaving from Tarawa at 3:15pm, arriving in Brisbane at 6:30pm.

Passengers intending to book must have a visa to enter Australia or a transit visa and another flight departure within 72 hours of arrival. Passengers who are transiting in Australia within 8 hours to another country, may not require a visa but will need to advise of the connecting flight at the time of booking.

The airline urges all transit passengers to check the Australian Government website to confirm if a transit visa is needed, and to check with their connecting airline or country of final destination for all required testing and documentation, as this will be required upon check-in in Tarawa.

The Australian Government requires that all passengers entering Australia have Government-issued proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and a Digital Passenger Declaration completed within 72 hours prior to departure.
