Thursdays IE726/IE718 service will operate direct between Brisbane and Santo. Port Vila passengers will be reaccommodated onto flights later in the week. Commercial policy for ticketed travel until 5 January 2025 has been introduced offering options for affected travellers.

Solomon Airlines Expands Christmas Flights to Meet Festive Season Demand

To accommodate the surge in travel and freight demand during the festive season, Solomon Airlines is increasing its domestic services between 16 December 2024 and 5 January 2025.

These additional flights will enhance connectivity across the country, ensuring passengers and cargo can move efficiently during this busy period.

The updated schedule includes:

  • Santa Cruz: Now three flights weekly, with extra services on Tuesdays and Sundays
  • Munda and Gizo: Increased to daily flights, including Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday services
  • Fera: Expanded to three flights weekly, with an additional service on Wednesdays
  • Choiseul Bay: Increased to three flights weekly, with an extra service on Thursdays
  • Kirakira: Now four flights weekly, with an additional service on Thursdays

Additionally, Solomon Airlines is offering a special Airbus A320 domestic service to Munda, providing enhanced comfort and greater freight capacity. The flights are scheduled as follows:

  • Honiara to Munda to Honiara: 23 December 2024 and 7 January 2025
  • Same-Day Connections to Gizo, Ramata, Seghe, Suavanao, and Kagau upon arrival in Munda
