Solomon Airlines confirms March flights available between Australia and Solomon Islands

Posted on February 09, 2021 at 05:00 PM in Schedule Updates

Following the recent confirmation of additional flights from Solomon Islands to Australia during February and March 2021, Solomon Airlines have confirmed a limited number of passenger seats are now also available on the airline’s regular Friday cargo flights between Brisbane and Honiara during March.

Passengers who meet all eligibility conditions will be able to travel on flights scheduled to operate over the next two months. Seating allocation on the aircraft will be limited in line with available capacity at Government approved quarantine accommodation.

FLIGHTS FROM BRISBANE TO HONIARA – 5, 12, 19, AND 26 MARCH

Flight IE701 will depart Brisbane at 10.00am and arrive in Honiara at 2.15pm.

Spaces will be limited to those who have spent the 28 days prior to intended departure, in a ‘low-risk country’ as classified by the Solomon Islands Government.  Those countries currently include Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific countries (excluding Papua New Guinea and French Polynesia).

Each passenger will be required to have two negative COVID-19 PCR test results, one between 12 and 14 days prior to departure and a final test taken 72 hours prior to departure.  All passengers will be responsible for self-funding their required quarantine in approved accommodation in Honiara.

These flights will then return, operating as Flight IE700 departing Honiara at 3.15pm and landing back in Brisbane at 5.30pm.

Bookings can be made via phone or email with Solomon Airlines Sales Offices in Point Cruz (+677 20152 or [email protected]) or Brisbane (+61 7 3860 5883 or [email protected]).

All Solomon Airlines flights comply fully with the COVID-19 regulations of the relevant countries. Solomon Airlines crew onboard the airline’s A320 aircraft wear facemasks and gloves for the duration of service and catering is minimal to reduce contact between passengers and crew.
