Solomon Airlines to operate Brisbane-Honiara-Brisbane passenger flights 15-16 September

With the approval of the Solomon Islands Government, Solomon Airlines will operate its sixth repatriation flight from Australia on Tuesday 15th September from Brisbane to Honiara.
The airline’s Airbus A320 aircraft, currently based in Brisbane, will operate Flight IE616 departing Brisbane at 2pm arriving in Honiara at 6.15pm.
Bookings on the flight are open to Solomon Islands passport holders and foreign nationals approved by the Prime Minister’s Office. Due to Solomon Islands Government quarantine availability restrictions, passengers on this flight will be required to fund their own quarantine costs in approved accommodation facilities in Honiara. Two negative COVID-19 tests will be required in the 14 days prior to boarding with the second test taken 2 days prior.
Flight IE617 will return from Honiara to Brisbane on Wednesday 16 September, departing Henderson International Airport at 9am, arriving in Brisbane at 11.15am. Available seats are limited and open to foreign nationals who are permitted to transit or enter Australia.

All Solomon Airlines repatriation flights comply with the COVID-19 regulations and requirements of the relevant countries. Solomon Airlines crew wear facemasks and gloves for duration of service and catering is minimal to reduce contact between passengers and crew.
