Solomon Airlines has announced further changes to the airline’s domestic flight schedule effective from Sunday 19 April.
The airline has confirmed that with the schedule reduction there will be no scheduled services operating on Saturdays or Sundays for the next 2 months, however, should demand exist, aircraft will be available for weekend charter operations.
Under the revised schedule, Solomon Airlines will continue flights to all 23 domestic destinations in the airline’s network, however all flights will occur during the day between 9am and 4:30pm, to take into account the possibility of curfew hours which have been proposed by the Solomon Islands Government.
“We are adjusting our flying according to the unusual circumstances we are all experiencing and we thank our passengers for their ongoing patience and understanding,” said Solomon Airlines Manager Commercial, Colin Sigimanu.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and to work closely with the Solomon Islands Government to safely provide domestic air transport within the Solomon Islands,” Mr Sigimanu added.
