Solomon Airlines releases special packages for families over Xmas and New Year

Solomon Airlines have announced a range of discounted family-friendly travel offers with 14 accommodation partners for Christmas and New Year to encourage more families to travel.

Key to the initiative are children’s airfares priced at a discount of 75% off the adult fares. Normally children’s fares cost 25% less than an adult fare. 

Participating tourism operators have also released family-friendly accommodation deals including bungalow and lodge style accommodation at much-reduced prices.

“Christmas is all about togetherness and offering reduced child fares is our way to help incentivise and support families to travel,” said Colin Sigimanu, Commercial Manager for Solomon Airlines.

“By making it easier and more affordable for more families to take a holiday during the festive season, we are also all supporting our tourism operators,” he added. 

“Many accommodation providers have had a very difficult year and yet have created special offers that are perfect for families and extremely good value on offer right through the Christmas and the New Year period,” he said.

Solomon Airlines special fares for children aged 2-11 years are available for return flights from Honiara to Munda, Gizo, Seghe, Marau, Kagau, and Fera, for travel on selected dates between 18 December 2020 and 18 January 2021, and for stays up to 7 nights. 

“We invite our customers to find out more about these particular accommodation specials, but of course any accommodation provider that interests them in the destinations included in this special can be contacted for their latest deals to be combined with our airfares,” Mr Sigimanu added.
