Choiseul Bay services to resume from next week

Solomon Airlines has confirmed that following completion of upgrades to the Choiseul Bay airfield, flights to Choiseul will resume next week in time for Pacific Games and peak season demand.
Services to and from Choiseul Bay were temporarily cancelled from the end of August, to enable major works to take place, including runway reconstruction and resurfacing.
The work has occurred under the Solomon Islands Provincial Airfields Upgrade Project (SI PAU) project which includes major infrastructure improvements at Choiseul Bay and Seghe.
From Monday 23 October, Choiseul Bay services will commence the regular schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays as follows:
- Flight IE356 from Honiara to Gizo will depart at 08.00am arriving in Gizo at 9.55am
- Flight IE356 from Choiseul to Gizo will depart at 10.15 arriving in Gizo at 10.55
- Flight IE357 from Gizo to Choiseul will depart at 11.15 arriving in Choiseul at 11.55
- Flight IE357 from Choiseul to Honiara will depart at 12.15 arriving in Honiara at 2.10pm
Additional Ballalae flights (introduced due to the temporary cessation of Choiseul Bay flights) will operate as scheduled until this Saturday 21 October.
